CLIPS

Monday blues... especially when its the first day after the mid term break. I've been thinking all morning, what to teach in ITC531 class today. According to the schedule, I should cover the topic of Uncertainty Management in Expert System. Which, this is not my favorite topic. :P Class will start on 10.30. On 10am, i realized something.. The students will present their class project today. That's mean... no need to teach today! Hehehe...

The class project is to develop an expert system using an ES shell called CLIPS. Clips is a tool to build an expert system, without having to develop everything. The inference engine is already there to be used. The students only have to build the knowledge base and the database. No GUI to be developed. It's not that difficult. I even printed the user guide for the students to use. Alhamdulillah, they've built their ES nicely. However, it's just no as good as CS223 students. I know.. I should not expect so much from them, as they are not majoring in AI. Well, at least they manage to deliver on time..
